We took the time last week to record a few demonstration videos for the currently available modules.
A quick look at some of the new module designs we are working on this month. Please visit the forum thread for more details and to add your additional questions and comments.
Pro Audio Star came by for a brief demonstration of the LZX Visionary being used for post-production on an upcoming Twin Shadow video.
By hijacking a component video signal and using the Video Blending Matrix module as a YUV to RGB conversion matrix, you can get full color video into the LZX system. Here, I show you how to do that, and then take it one step further by using three VWG’s to completely resynthesize the full color image.
We are very pleased to announce our LZX Visionary modules for video synthesis and processing are now available for public sale via our distributor Analogue Haven. It’s been a long road and we’re extremely thankful for all of you who have been so supportive of this product. Please contact us if you have any questions on module selection, and we’re looking forward to hearing your feedback on the modules, and seeing your videos!
Raster-based video generation utilizing RGB signals and the Color Video Encoder is only one video art technique possible with the LZX Visionary video synthesizer. The past couple days we’ve been experimenting with using LZX Visionary to drive the X, Y & Z inputs of a normal cathode ray oscilloscope in a manner similar to the way Scanimate and Rutt-Etra systems did in the past.
We’ve just uploaded some initial versions of source code and an editor utility for our BitVision video synthesizer, as well as some step by step instructions for modifying BitVision’s programming to include your own images and color palettes. More information on our BitVision page.

We had a fantastic time at NAMM and are now in the final stages of our current production batch of LZX Visionary modules, which will be shipping to Analogue Haven in mid-late February. All six modules will be stocked and available for purchase through Analogue Haven. We’re also currently drafting full documentation and some instructional interactive animations, videos and articles dealing with the LZX Visionary system and video synthesis in general. Look forward to lots of new content on the website next month, as well as some new module announcements by March.
